Maine’s Sen. Collins Rebounds Big
After months of trailing Democrat opponent Sara Gideon by five to 10 percentage points in nearly all polls, Republican Sen. Susan Collins appeared to be on the rebound last week — and in a major way.
According to a just-completed Bangor Daily News poll, Gideon, who is the state House speaker, is in a near tie with four-termer Collins — 44% to 43% for the Democrat, with 3% going to two independent candidates.
The Bangor survey was conducted at the same time Collins had announced she would vote against President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. In joining with fellow Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski to oppose Barrett, Collins made clear her reason was she felt such an appointment should be made after the election.
Two years ago, Collins suffered tremendous political fallout after playing a pivotal role in the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Although the senator is pro-choice, many pro-choice groups abandoned her over the Kavanaugh vote and now support Gideon.
Planned Parenthood, which two years ago gave Collins its Barry Goldwater Award for political courage, is now in the Gideon camp.
For a time, it seemed the Republican senator was most likely to lose this fall. With less than a month to go before Election Day, this has apparently changed.
The only one who absolutely “knew” the dossier was fake was Pres. Donald J. Trump.

Culinary Union’s canvassing operation may have broken federal law
The union told the Washington Free Beacon that Magana “acted inadvertently and without authorization.”
“Culinary Union member canvassers have had a clear written instruction about voter mailboxes from the beginning of the campaign efforts: ‘Don’t put anything in a voter’s mailbox,’” spokeswoman Bethany Khan said. “We have reemphasized this instruction to the entire canvass team and met with the canvasser in question, who acted inadvertently and without authorization.”
Clark County—which includes the city of Las Vegas—mailed sample ballots to voters on September 25 and is scheduled to mail official ballots on Saturday, according to the Nevada secretary of state. Thirteen Nevada counties have already mailed official ballots to voters.

I can’t see putting $9k(snap-in implant dentures) or $13k (4 on 1 denture implant) for just a lower arch in a 71-year-old person.

Busy here with wiping down and mopping every single surface in the house.
Things are starting to sparkle and holiday decorations will look nice.
I realized a couple of weeks ago that the &$:@&(!(@ soot from the &&/$)(@“$ smoke from months of @&:$;$@: wildfires has built up on, around, and underneath everything in the house and there was a very slight burn smell no matter how clean the house was. Ugh.
So I’m deep-cleaning every single surface. It’s really kind of fun to see the crisp cleanness of walls, furniture, light fixtures, curtains, happening all at once, and no more burn fragrance! :-)
