Free Repulic is a web site, not a newspaper, so there is room for lots of different things that appeal to some Freepers and don't offend JimRob.

We have Freeper Canteen (What kind of Pizza are you), Music ranking surveys, NFL threads, Florida man stories, etc. That makes this FR. Because JimRob has plenty of drive space, there is room for all of it, and you can skip the ones that don't interest you or offend you.

I like the satire put out by both the Babylon Bee and JimRob. When USA Today fact checks a Babylon Bee story, it shows they are over the target. Rush Limbaugh has always said that mockery and satire is an excellent approach, which is why he has always employed it. There are different flavors of satire and mockery, but the Babylon Bee's heart is in the right place, and there is nothing with publishing their stories unless JimRob disagrees.
