The FINER the grind — Expresso or better yet, Turkish grind — exposes more bean surface to hot water, and gives a far, far better flavor than the canned junk (Folger’s, Maxwell House etc) from the store shelves.

You CAN regrind those two canned coffees and get a ‘decent’ cup of coffee, in an emergency. Dunkin Donuts coffee is okay, as well, if you grind it yourself, to a Turkish Grind.

I drink Kona Hawaiian and Jamaican Blue Mountain, Turkish Grind, daily. using an unflavored Half & Half from the local convenience store, to soften the flavor.

My local conservative coffee shop in Phoenix is a former navy man, and he has sources for wild grown Papua New Guinea (non-plantation) that knocked my socks off, at 1/3rd the price of Jamaica Blue Mountain.
