You’re right. Trump is stealing away a lot of Democrats. And his numbers with blacks and Hispanics is off the charts for a Republican. But the main difference between a Trump supporter and a Biden supporter is enthusiasm. Those who support Trump tend to REALLY support Trump - enough to make it likely they’ll show up at the voting booth. Those who support Biden are, on the whole, less enthusiastic. A large number of Biden ‘supporters’, are less than thrilled with their chosen candidate and are more likely than a Trump supporter to sit this one out.
Trump’s main strategy last night was to drive a wedge between Biden and the radical left of the Democrat party, who are already less than thrilled with a Biden candidacy. Towards that end, he was successful - making it more likely that a good portion of them just won’t bother to vote this time around.
Exactly right.

“Trumps main strategy last night was to drive a wedge between Biden and the radical left of the Democrat party,”
I agree and Trump should work on that
over the next 30 days as Joe moves to the middle.
But it missed last night because
Chris Wallace did the job he was hired to do.
He made the next day all about him.
Most of the left and right focused on Wallace
today(I’m on the west coast,haha).
I agree Trump will attach Biden and get
him to turn Biden voters off Biden at the next
debate, but he only has 2 more chances.
If Biden shows up.
I’m sure his base will scream he not do another
because that’s what they will be led to say.
They will say...
Don’t dignified Trump by showing up or whatever.
Then he can say the voters don’t want him to do another.
Donald Trump is who we've prayed for.
Joe Biden is who they're stuck with.
Where do you think the enthusiasm is?? ;-)
