The sniper rifle from THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS...
I am guessing that many people decided to buy Walther PPK pistols after they watched Bond films...
I don't think the PPK is as powerful as the Magnum used by Dirty Harry...
By the way, the suspects are a bunch of Eastern European guys...

Deactivated? If they just removed the firing pins, it’s not such a big deal to get new ones.

... just one of the myriad of reasons why the majority of British voted to be out of the EU.
BTW, the authorities are keeping mum, but the rumour is that the killer of a police officer, shot dead earlier this week at a London custody suite, is linked to East European gangsters.

Did they check out Christopher Lee (The Man With The Golden Gun)? He might have needed a couple new ones. /sarc
And yes, I know that he passed away. Met him. He was a very nice man and a WW2 combat/flier veteran.

Four guns used as props in James Bond films remain missing six months after they were stolen by burglars who jumped out of an open window to escape. Sound like something out of a Bond film.
Better though if it had been a *closed* window.. flying glass and all that.

...the suspects are a bunch of Eastern European guys... My wife used to work for a State government agency, that dealt with medical billing fraud. Some of the biggest 'players' involved were Russian organized crime groups, who were responsible for tens of millions of dollars if fraudulent charges. Since the State government was controlled by 'progressives' (i.e., "political correctness nazis"), State employees were prohibited from referring to the Russian criminals as "Russians" - the agency staff therefore routinely called them the "Swedes".
Might have been the "Swedes" who stole the James Bond guns...
