Spread Spectrum: The spreading sequence (in Direct Sequence systems) or the frequency-hopping pattern (in FH systems) is unknown by anyone for whom the signal is unintended, in which case it obscures the signal and makes eavesdropping extremely difficult. Don’t believe me? Take your spectrum analyzer and tell me what is being said over someone’s bluetooth headset.

Much easier to just jam it all. Elevating the noise floor will destroy the ability of the receivers to find an unoccupied channel and destroys enough bits that error correction algorithms fail. It’s simply a power game - emit enough power to exceed the burn-through range of the target and they cannot communicate. Fortunately the best jammers are owned by the federal government.
