Public Ed and even some Private Ed are one-size fits all Stalinist sausage factories. They destroy independent thought, spirit and creativity. I was permanently traumatized by the process.
I had one classroom that had up rock and roll band posters (also in the ‘80s). Though not my particular taste, they weren’t offensive (unless you hated a particular group, i.e. “The Dude” Lebowski and the Eagles). Better a poster of Jimi Hendrix than a poster of Jimmy Carter.
