I am an older fart.

Digital? Yes. Worked for them for awhile.

IBM DOS, MS DOS, IBM PC, to modern computers and OSs. Smart phones, only as a user.

Apple. A little. Apple make a good product but it is not a good value. I have been burned too many times.

Interesting story... the evolution of all things computer.

WinTel have changed our lives forever, employed hundreds of millions of people, made trillions of dollars for companies.

I agree with all that. Pretty much went through similar experiences. I am sure the young generation will go through their own experiences and tell their grandchildren about the good old days too when they grow old.
50 years from now computers will be totally different.

I remember my first 300 baud modem. AMAZING !!!

I sold a bunch of computers when I took one with Lotus 123 on it to an engineering firm. They were astonished.

I’m also an old fart, in my 80’s. Designed products using the first microprocessors that came on the market back in the 1970’s. Those were exciting times for we tech nerds who started our careers using relays and vacuum tubes.
