I have a great friend retired Colonel, he and his wife (also an officer) served in every conflict for decades and are true American heroes. Their two adopted Guatemalan children are not just some kids they picked up cheap. They did good in the world saving those kids from poverty and those are their children. One graduated West Point, the other is married to a marine.
Adopted kids aren’t a commodity they are precious.
I agree. If we had money when we adopted we would have gone to another country. American children are taken away from their adoptive parents a lot. Too many court decisions go to the birth parent here. Not in other countries. My nephew and his wife adopted in Kazakhstan. Judge was excited about their baby getting American parents. They haven’t had to live in fear as we did.
