I think a number of decent Conservatives were drawn into the Haitian sphere of orphan care by the design of evil people. It was to provide cover for the bad actors’ back alley niche of the trade; trafficking and exploitation.

For those who are genuinely interested in knowing the adoption agency involved with Judge Barrett’s adoption, they need only go to the courthouse where finalization took place. Those documents will have names of the attorneys and most likely the agencies involved.

Moreover, information about the home study (e.g. who conducted it, and the organization who they worked with for the foster license) can likely be gotten from their home state with a FOIA request (it is possible that the finalization was in another state, but the home study obviously gets the adoptive parents’ home state QUITE involved.)

If they already had a largish family and adopted two more, Occam’s razor says they like having kids.

That was not the case before her court, and is a silly way to describe it. Read the case, and the decision.

The suit was brought to challenge whether the Governor of Illinois was allowed to exempt religious groups from the gathering size requirements, and her court ruled that the Governor was not barred from making such allowances in favor of religious liberty.

Not only was it a state issue, the lockdowns themselves weren’t the issue in question at all. The case was about whether the governor was permitted to allow larger religious gatherings than secular ones, and the court’s ruling was that religious gatherings are specifically protected and were allowed to be given more leeway.
