A distant cousin of mine (whom I never met) was Harry Truman’s personal lawyer and one of the Missouri electors in 1948. I don’t think anything could have made him a “faithless elector” but in those days they didn’t have to worry about being doxxed.
Missouri, eh? Suspect a loaded weapon would have awaited anyone who tried in that day and age!
