Shooting at someone knocking at the door is not an appropriate response.
Why didn’t the grand jury indict the shooter boyfriend?

You indict when you are confident of getting a conviction, not just when you are confident a crime was committed. In this environment they don’t have a chance of a conviction in that case.

I have a question I haven’t had clearly answered so far. I’m sure the answer is out there, but I will ask it now.
Sequence of events:
Cops announce their presence
Boyfriend (or sexual partner) responds by shooting through the door
So, did the cops shoot back through the door? Or did they smash in the door and then shoot?
