Zoonotic viruses should become less deadly with higher transmission.

The European studies show better contagion less severe. Which is what you would expect

Here’s what’s interesting. Could we through closures, Social distancing and masks be selecting for an airborne wild type? All life adapts so we may have been too smart by half. The natural progression of SARS and MERS is attenuation and burn out. We may have prolonged and selected for a bug that will be with us for a longer time. But in the bright side not as severe.

From another thread:

CDC Covid-19 Survival Rates

Age 0-19 — 99.997%

Age 20-49 — 99.98%

Age 50-69 — 99.5%

Age 70+ — 94.6%

And they pointed out that there was one that could be more contagious... One out of 5,000 strains.

So this airborne wild type would be less severe, but spread easier?

Yeah, second wave. New mutation. It’s all just more ways to keep the panic alive and the masses chained to fear and their masks.

....

Yep! Sad we have so many compliant sheep in this country.

Illogical. A random mutation is not a “response” to anything, it’s just a random action.

Maybe they meant to argue that some mutant virii adapt to circumstances better than others, but the article’s language is muddled.

Thank you, Jesus; for the gift of salvation made possible by Your sacrifice on the cross, enabling me to access the spirit of faith rather than the spirit of fear.

The news media screams “pandemic” and they all lay down, give up their freedom and now are allowing the democrats to steal the election with their mail in voter fraud scam. And this corona hoax was always just a hoax to steal the election.

Funny thing is that i’ve been saying for months the Houston strain wasn’t as severe as even the southeastern states.

We seemed to be spreading more but it was less deadly here.

And also isn’t it an epidemiological rule that the more contagious something is the less deadly/ severe it is?

So this might be a good thing.

I got tested positive for the virus. I don’t know where I got it from since I work from home and always so careful of where I go and always wash my hands. My friends also got tested positive and I have not seen them in 11 days. My wife has it now. This virus is no laughing matter. It makes a person miserable. I’m on day 11 and I will not wish this virus on anyone. I’m in Oregon in a small town and I only cover 4 mile radius in my travels since it started. Now everyone around me is catching it. Protect yourselves.

Anthony Fauci paid for the development of the coronavirus that is causing the pandemic via a gain-of-function experiment at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Another “study” to ramp up the panic and the lockdowns - how timely for the Marxist takeover now in progress.

I usually get colds or flus all the time. And in previous years i have. I never had anything this year though and i’m not scared of any imaginary hoax nor will i ever be of anything in the media.

The only thing i don't want is the democrats to steal this election with their votes by mail scam which is possible because of fear of this hoax. Fear the socialism the democrats will implement as the steal this election because then in socialism you can't even get the nutrition to buy good food which actually gives you health.

[[Another “study” to ramp up the panic and the lockdowns]]

I’m beginning to think that this is how the Anti-Christ will take over- shut the whole world down through fear of some new virus- We’ve seen how corona-virus fear has shut down the world practically- almost like it’s a trial run for a massive power grab- then sweep in and tell everyone they can’t go outside shopping, recreating or whatever unless they take the mark of the beast in order to get a vaccine

The odds of dying are extremely low in all ages really- yet the whole world is shut down nearly- unreal-

"But the virus, he said, could potentially be responding..."

Those are the words of the writer of the piece--not the virologist. Notice the lack of quotation marks in the piece. The writer misunderstood, as many do. That's not how it works. No virus is "responding" by mutating, randomly or otherwise. A virion is not intelligent.

On Morens’ actual statement, he said that “as the virus becomes more contagious it might be statistically better at getting around those barriers.” He said “around”—not through. There’s a difference. The virus is not getting smaller or tougher. And his speculative guess beyond the scope of the study might not be correct.

Readers who want to know more should follow the link and pay particular attention to the parts about the spike protein. Also consider the weather changing, and the effects that it might have on people (examples, indoor heating, cooler, drier air).
