He kept George McGovern from becoming President, and Watergate proves (in their mind) that the election was stolen.
He also hated American commies, which is enough for the left to never give him credit for anything, since the issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution. Nixon held back the revolution twice, once in the 1950s as an anti-Communist in Congress, and once in the 1970s by removing the Vietnam War as a means of causing the revolution.
They're absolutely correct. If not for Watergate, he would have taken only 48 states instead of the 49 he did take in Nov '72, and McGovern's Electoral total would have been doubled. Doubled!!
Thief!
Hmm, Nixon was a fervent anti-Communist, and the FBI was supposed to be in the counterintelligence business to resist communist subversion. But Nixon was destroyed by leaks to the media by Associate FBI Director Mark Felt. It’s almost as if the FBI puts power for the Democrat Party above duty and country, then and now.
The Democrats wanted to impeach Nixon in his first term long before Watergate and they wanted to impeach both Reagan and Trump before they were sworn in. The peaceful transition of power ended by 1960 when JFK stole the White House.
