To: A Navy Vet

I just found out what to call it. I have severe stenosis of the lumbar spine area. I will probably be getting a scheduled date for surgery: a laminectomy. I didn’t want surgery, but the problems (lightening bolts of pain in legs and pelvis) are quickly getting worse every few days. Another adventure in life awaits me. Three Cheers for veterans health insurance!

Sorry to hear that. Sciatica is an inflamed muscle in buttock region that puts pressure on the sciatic nerve that rus down the leg. Stenosis is more difficult to treat, but I have read that some doctors recommend walking and some have been cured. Good luck to you.
