Al-Waleed bin Talal was one of the over 200 Saudi Princes taken into custody on November 4, 2017, by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and held in the Riyadh Ritz-Carleton until he confessed to anti-corruption crimes. He was held for 2-3 months and forced to forfeit a large proportion of his wealth.

It’s believed by some that he was behind or involved in the attempted assassination of the Crown Prince in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017, and that American officials were able to get the Crown Prince to safety before he was killed. The story goes on to suggest that the assassins shot up the country music concert across the street to cover for their failed plot.

Al-Waleed bin Talal reportedly co-owns (with Bill Gates) the top 4-5 floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, which operates as The Four Seasons. This is the venue from which the concert massacre took place and was blamed on Steven Paddock. A-W bin Talal was also the majority shareholder of twitter at the time and a major shareholder of Time Warner.

The story continues that, upon saving the life of the Crown Prince, the House of Saud became beholden to President Trump and the grand reformation of the Middle East so began.

I don’t know what the truth is. I just know that the customary 7-10 day non-stop, in-depth network news analysis that follows such tragedies didn’t happen. The story was simply dropped.
