I am proposing an amendment

Your amendment has as much validity as one to get rid of the Electoral College. Both efforts to 'democratize' the Republic we have. I'm sure AOC, Pelosi/Schumer, and the DS will support it. You might even get funded for it. I mean who doesn't want all laws re-interpreted possibly every 4 years? Stability baby! Who needs it?

Yes it’s much better to be ruled by 9 titled dictators whose abuses of the Constitution can’t be remedied unless they die and we get a miracle of timing to give us a President like Trump at the same time./Sarc

There would be stability because it would still require the President and the Senate (remember that Senators have six year terms not 4 and are not all up for election in any given year) and the President and the Senate would both have to justify the decision to remove a judge.

You know what the worst kind of government in the world is?
Stable tyranny.

My idea doesn’t democratize anything, I did not suggest direct election of federal judges and the Demoncrats would not support my idea because they want to be able to either stick us with lifetime tyrants in robes or get to replace judges on a regular schedule without having to justify it.
