I’m never going to say never when it comes to no-knock raids.

I’ll tell you what I think the biggest problems with policing are:

1) Insane pension obligations that take money away from recruiting and keeping great hires.

2) Political correctness that also affects recruiting and retention, not to mention public safety.

3) Unrealistic expectations from the public given what LE is given to work with.

And the last few months have added another...

4) LE members who are content to be used by politicians for political ends.

That last one has done a huge amount of damage to public trust.

No charges in her death. Three counts on one officer for shooting into three different apartments. Class D Felony.

They are just like teachers, ie unionized government workers with pensions and very little accountability.

This might be worse than the Floyd riots.

T, when was the last time a teacher risked arrest for doing his job?

I’d privatize teaching in a heartbeat, but not policing.

This might be worse than the Floyd riots.

Kentucky elected a Dem governor in 2018 but the rest of the state offices went to Republicans. It's doubtful the Dem gov will let things get out of control like all the Dem govs in other states did.

Fox keeps saying he is charged with murder, albeit 2nd degree.

Not true.

Wanton endangerment is NOT the same as 2nd degree murder. At not point in the GJ’s ruling was the word “murder’ uttered.

'T, when was the last time a teacher risked arrest for doing his job?'

Lots of jobs have the potential to be arrested. Teachers get beat up and assaulted all the time in school. Youtube is full of examples of ferals and other students attacking them. At least a cop can carry.

I've never heard of such a scenario actually occurring where criminals shout and break down the door.

Here are few, so you can educate yourself.

It is a pretty common occurrence.

Here is a home invasion where the perps knocked for about a minute.

Here is another case where the suspect was banging on the door, then eventually got shot, trying to force his way in.

Here is another "heard loud banging at his back door" before the perp was shot.

This one was "banging on the doors and windows at her residence" before being shot.

Here is another one, this guy appears to have been drunk, banging on the door, demanding to be let in.

Here is another, where the perp was banging on the front door, eventually broke the side window, and was shot inside.

Further investigation and a conversation with the homeowner provided more detail about the incident which apparently began when he heard loud banging at his front door. The homeowner said the suspect broke the glass next to the front door and reached to unlock it before making entry. Police said that as Jackson made his way up the stairs, the homeowner grabbed a rifle and shot several times in the alleged robber's general direction.

Here is another, where a grandmother shot a home invader who was banging, banging, banging

"First I thought I was dreaming and then I looked out the window, outside. I was still hearing the banging, banging, banging, so I yelled to whoever, 'Who's that on my door? Get off my door, get off my door,'" Thompson explained.

Here is a home invasion where the homeowner was awakened by a loud banging on the door.

A man, who along with his wife and young child, were awakened at 4:55 a.m. by a loud banging at the front door. The homeowner grabbed his 9 mm handgun and went to investigate.

Scary. Makes me want to avoid the place altogether even in mid-winter.

Not everyone can or should be expected to carry and brandish a loaded .44.

T, the risk is far greater for cops.

And, in my neck of the woods, teachers get paid more and have better bennies.

And what good is carrying if a cop won’t use his weapon to defend himself, his fellow officers, and/or the public.

#StayFetal isn’t just a hashtag.

'And what good is carrying if a cop won’t use his weapon to defend himself, his fellow officers, and/or the public.'

That is the example across the country. The leo watches, either from orders or for whatever reason, while the cities burn. They still get paid.
