Last week I walking the “wrong direction” down a Safeway aisle (early in the morning when there were probably no more than 5 customers in the whole store), and a karen approached from the other direction. As we got closer she said, not with a smile but with a scowl, “You’re going the wrong way!” I replied loudly “Yawohl!” and continued on my way and passed right by her. :)

I mean, the thing that went through my head was “how many freakin people did you walk past to get to this point in the store and now this is an issue for you?”

Are they still enforcing these stupid "swim lanes"? At my local Safeway they are no longer being taken seriously. People just walk wherever.

Funny thing, though. I've found some people are standing closer to me in line than the were before all of this mask nonsense. Whee.
