An earth day is a completely arbitrary unit of time outside of earth and our solar system. There is no cosmic significance to Pi as a temporal interval of some other random planet’s orbital period.

"Light-years" is also an earth-centric measurement.

The planet probably has the same side facing its star all the time. So maybe the dark side of the planet wouldn't be quite as hot.
