I hope you are correct about Mitch maintaining control. What happened to Kavanaugh was Grassley’s fault. He wanted to play nice with his friends across the isle and totally lost control of the process.
Absolutely. Graham was pushing back against the dems, and tried his best to stop the delays, additional investigations and general clown show. Grassley's weakness dragged the confirmation into the mud and opened the door for Flake to betray us.
Both Mitch and Lindsey are going to keep this nomination on track. No doubt the dems will find ways to create spectacle, and their media friends will amplify and agitate for them. But Mitch is Mitch, and Graham is not Grassley.
