This may actually be good thing.
Microsoft owns Bethesda Studios.
Microsoft also owns Obsidian, who developed Fallout New Vegas.
If Microsoft had any halfway competent people they would have Obsidian develop Fallout New Vegas 2
New Vegas is arguably the best of the series (though I’ll always be partial to FO3). But it would be fun to see new territory get explored. A lot of Fallout fans have been trying to get Todd Holland to announce Miami as the next setting. Maybe get a Fallout version of Disney World.
