Disney entertainment has been called many things, but “authentic” is generally not one. It’s supposed to be fantasy, though today Disney is fantasy with a pungent stench of SJW Maoism.

Since when does authenticity have anything to do with movies? I’m a fan of westerns and the history of the old west, but not foolish enough to believe they’re the same thing. When a war picture says it’s based on real events, I always assume that the real event was the fact that there was a war-everything else is “artistic license”.

Chinese historical epics tend to be very “inauthentic” to the historical material.
On the other hand they can make very good movies.
