This is probably a more refined therapy than HCQ. What I think makes this a little better is that the Ivermectin is an actual antibiotic (and therefore it wouldn’t be a stretch to see it as an antiviral) whereas HCQ is not.

I think this has real potential as a treatment, and seeing that one of the resident bullies is already on this thread, I will simply point out that treatment is but one leg of disease management. Her immunity and prophylaxis being the others. While I am encouraged as to the potential efficacy of this treatment, I am also encouraged as to the standard vaccine tech that is being studied as well as what appears to be regional herd immunity developing.

Ivermectin is NOT an antibiotic:

“Ivermectin is FDA-approved for use in animals for prevention of heartworm disease in some small animal species, and for treatment of certain internal and external parasites in various animal species. ... Ivermectin is in a class of medications called anthelmintics.”
