I scanned quite a ways down and didn’t see it. Also tried that and similar searches for Pakistan without success.

There were also other melon varieties I hadn’t seen before, but I don’t recall anything about them other than that they were different.

I suppose it’s like apples and all other produce. There used to be lots more different kinds of apples, thousands I think. Now only a few are sold in chain grocery stores.

Afghanistan is full of remote mountain villages with agriculture near the snow melt fed streams and rivers. There’s likely many unique and unknown varieties that are only in a few locations. I never saw these melons in the main city Kabul.
