The conspiracy sites are saying that RBG died three months ago. In the unlikely event that that is true. Why release it now? ;-)

The left is already promising riots. Let them, it helps Trump.

Plan on polls to come out tomorrow saying 80% think Trump should wait.

I can’t think of any reason not to push forward. Get as much done before the election as possible. If we lose the Senate, it could make the invalidate the McConnell rule.

“McConnell will have a hard time explaining his change of mind “

LOL love when the libs try and shill here...Here we go—>

since 1880? If the senate and the president are in opposite parties, and a SC opening Becomes available, and it just so happens to coincides with an election year

there has always been a gentlemens/handshake agreement to wait
till the next election

HOWEVER
if an opening comes up with the senate having the SAME PARTY
as the president they have passed his nomination like 29 times
throughout history...see obama ellen kagan/harry reid

so Mitch isnt having a change of mind...
The dems and their megaphones, as always, are
using cut and paste to ensnare the guillable

Pollster: “Should the president rush his decision to fill the supreme court vacancy or be more methodical and wait until after the election?”

We can hope that the question would be presented that cleanly.

It’d probably be more like; Trump having just drowned a litter of puppies now wants to pack the Supreme Court with judges that will reinstitute slavery. Should he do this before the election?

“Poll shows most Americans do not want Trump to rush SCOTUS pick.”

McConnell will have a hard time explaining his change of mind - and the Dems will not let or the public forget it.

No he won’t. Trump isn’t a lame duck. Further, he isn’t a lame duck with his party voted out in the Senate mid-terms.

At the moment we have the president and the senate, and we have to use it for the potentially very brief amount of time we have left in control.

My favorite part is the part where they think they can refuse to accept the results of an election for four years [2016], and then think that heavily armed people will just accept the results of an "election" RIGGED in THEIR favor...

Amy Barrett. Collins and Murkowski are not going to vote against her...and neither is Romney. Their job is to just ask questions submitted to nominee in writing.

In the meantime, the President will likely wait until she is buried....announce and the committee will begin its work.

At that point, I would bet Pelosi will start some back ground "music" saying the Senate should be working on the stimulus....and she might even submit something reasonable.

McConnell will have a hard time explaining his change of mind - and the Dems will not let or the public forget it.

There's no hypocrisy, republicans control both the senate and presidency and Trump isn't a lame duck president. If democrats had controlled the senate then Merrick Garland would have had a vote and been confirmed. Thank God they didn't.

Regarding Garland, why on earth would Trump nominate him? That's crazy! No wonder republicans are constantly outmaneuvered with thinking like that.

I wish the situation was that you simply nominated the most qualified person for the job but that's not reality, you have to nominate someone that can get confirmed. My preference right now is for Amy Barrett because she's female and they can't trot out the old fake sexual harassment stunt like they did with Thomas and Kavanaugh, plus she has two adopted kids from Haiti so they can't pull the racism card which is their first attack always. The dems know this is life or death for them so they're going to throw everything they can to defeat the nominee, right now I think she's got the best chance of denying them attack opportunities. I'm not completely convinced that she's the best candidate, but I think she's got the best chance of confirmation.

I don't believe that Collins will vote against the nominee. She's in a tight race for re-election in Maine and a vote against the supreme court nominee would have the republican base turn against her. She will have guaranteed her defeat if she's responsible for torpedoing the SC nominee. She'll lose far more republican votes than she'll ever gain from dems and independents.

Moving quickly with a choice will help Republicans.

The Rats have already shown themselves the anti-Law & Order Party in 2020, bent on tearing down 'the system.' Trump can smirk and say these folks are NPCs at this point. He can just smile and say, "That's nice, Democrats." and have the Senate take the vote.

Rat allies have attacked LEOs, Federal buildings, and have actively signaled they want to pack the Court. They have zero interest in serious dialogue in this routine institutional decision -- they're trashing the game board and walking away.

I am delighted they now have to expend political resources on this situation as well as campaigns and GOTVF (fraud) efforts.

McConnell will have a hard time explaining his change of mind - and the Dems will not let or the public forget it.

Since Trump will be the next president, there is no inconsistency here. Obama was at the end of his second term and was not going to be the next president.

The American people wanted Trump to appoint the next SC justice then. They want him to do so now.

Let the left riot and attempt to burn the Supreme Court Building — talk about “law and order” optics!

I hate to say it, but I can’t help but wonder if the best outcome of this would be to trigger rioting again. They got the word to cut it out so it is not at the front of peoples minds when they vote. Pics of normal people being hassled while they are having dinner changed a lot of minds.

Put pressure on Gropey Joe to name his Supreme Court choice, then let the voters decide. We already know President Trump’s list of potential nominees.

Who could the Dems possibly name? Elizabeth Warren?

Re # 6, “The SCOTUS needs to be reconfigured to 3-1-5 prior to the upcoming election theft attempts.”

Yes, yes, and yes! Absolutely crucial to stop the theft and blunt the planned chaos.
