I had an iPhone 6 and then a 6s, which I loved and kept until this year. Aside from the soaring prices, what kept me from upgrading was that the phones just keep getting bigger, and I want it to fit in my pocket (which is why I also held onto the 4s for so long before my 6).
What finally convinced me to upgrade was the 2020 version of the iPhone SE. Its the best bargain in years. Has the same processor as the 11 pro, but in the design and size of my 6s, and also has a much better camera that comes close to the quality of the iPhone 11s camera. And its only $399 (though I paid $449 to get 128 GB of storage).
Thanks. I’ll check that out.
When I found the watch wouldn’t work with my old 6+, I went shopping and looked at the three models of the 11 Pro. The price was just staggering. With 128 GB memory, it was in the $1,200 to $1,400 range.
I REALLY like the form factor of my 6+. I got that specifically for using map navigation and haven’t regretted it. It slides handily into any pocket and has a just-right heft to it. One of the 11 models I was looking at had an identical case size, but more screen real estate with the Home button gone. I didn’t care for the notch at the top of the screen to accommodate the camera.
Still running fine with my 6S. Heavy user.
Will probably splurge for the maxed out 12 when it appears; will still cost me under $1/day (assuming similar lifespan).
I bought the SE as well. Nice upgrade from the 6.
