I hate to disappoint that left-leaning rag-but the reason those people aren’t going to docs is not because they don’t have insurance-it is because traditional natural medicine is more trusted than drugs among Hispanics-especially those from or living in rural areas...

I ought to know, since my ancestry is Hispanic and I grew up in a remote rural area near the border in W Texas, where curanderas are common-one of my aunts was one-she sold all sorts of vitamins purchased wholesale as part of her treatments, as well as herbs that she grew herself-and always advised lots of prayer-because God is the healer.

I’m a naturalist to this day and I trust the herbal knowledge I was taught-and I trust a natural healer far more than a doc-there are a couple of them here in BFE where I live-locals of all ethnicities go to them-they take barter, as well as cash-many of us go to them rather than to a doc-same as we go to a chiropractor or acupuncturist before a doc-likely because a lot of us are naturalists who don’t eat processed food or take any drugs-we are healthy as a rule, and you don’t see many obese people among naturalists. Not the life that will suit everyone, but it has always worked just fine for me...

There has been very little effect on people out here from Wuhan virus-many of us has mild cases, but that was in March/April-so anyone can laugh, scoff, etc at natural living and natural cures and curanderas, but it works-and it is safer than drugs-the vitamin and zinc regimen that has been posted here many times as a preventive is the best way to go I think-keep up your immune system and you will have the jump on the virus...
