I get the impression that many of these background checks are for first time gun buyers.

Firearm availability hasn't seemed to be a big problem, but a lot of these people are discovering a severe shortage of what it takes to feed their new acquisitions.

The only .380 practice ammunition I can find right now is from Freedom Munitions and costs 97 CENTS A ROUND.

I stocked up after the last .380 shortage in 2008, but training is now over as I'm down to my last couple hundred rounds.

Update: Freedom Munitions is sold out, and the only .380 practice ammunition on Ammoseek right now is going for $1.15 A ROUND.

That's more than I normally pay for my defensive ammunition!
