I thoroughly enjoyed reading that series of books in the mid-80’s. The movie version of Clan of the Cave Bear sucked tho, IMO.
The first three books were indeed marvelous stories. The last three got caught up in the series own cliches and adjectives. Still given the gloom and doom of today’s events, I might revist Auel.
