“I convinced my wife to allow me to buy a suite of battery powered tools, and it has been utter joy for me for years now.:

I just bought a Kobalt 80v battery powered chainsaw and it’s where have you been all my life? I get 45 minutes to an hour out of each battery. More torque and power than comparable gas. Hit the button instant power. Darn gas Stihl I would have to keep running while moving around logs afraid it might not restart.

Got sick and tired of the tempermental gas Stihl.

Kobalt made in China though. I had to hold my nose though right now all are I believe.

It is hard to find products not made in China. I know, because I have been shopping like that for years now.

Sure, you can find things, but in some cases, the cost differential for comparable feature sets is significant, sometimes, exorbitantly so.

I just spent $2500 on a 3D printer in the late spring, and I was determined not to buy a Chinese one. I didn’t, and the printer is a pretty good one, but...it took a lot of effort and looking.
