Abrogation of the 2nd Amendment will cost the coup plotters heavy casualties. Insurrection and mutiny in the ranks will follow. And are they really planning to disobey Posse Comitatus?

I have said this before, the most dangerous rank is LTC and Colonel. I don’t think many in the military give a damn about parties, all they want is a true and honest government with peace at home.
Leftist rulers always fear the military because the leftists would seize the government by force if they could make it work and they expect the military to oppose that. Even the USSR shared the leftist Fear and the military did finally betray the Communists there. That is why the soviets and th mullahs create separate military orgs to keep the reins on the regular army. The USSr had essentially three military structures always suspicious of each other. The mullahs have their Quds Force and just keep the regular military in the closet in case of an invasion.

The generals would still have to watch their backs because a military putsch might be physically opposed by the colonels and the majors and most ominous of all, the sergeants. The problem would not be during the coup but in the aftermath. The grunts would not like it either and most might sit on their hands or turn to their sergeants and junior and field grade officers.

I will always hate Clinton for what he did to our higher ranks. He was the Vietnam era draft dodger getting even with the military whom he hated. Making high ranking officers report to the WH in civilian clothes. Did Obama do the same?
When my father passed away (WWII, Korea, Vietnam, & two Pentagon tours) Mom was cleaning out his clothes closet & several business suits turned up. Mom explained that whenever Dad’s boss & his staff in OSD were summoned to the WH, the hateful Lyndon Johnson with his phony WWII combat award made them wear civilian clothes. All active duty military.
And now there is talk of a coup. Disgusting!

Regardless what evil tricks the malcontents and disgruntled try against our President, he’s going to come out on top. No one else I’ve ever seen in my lifetime can endure so much vitriol and plotting, yet still keep winning.

I count the commissars attached to each army unit with the power to countermand or to shoot commanders. They were a separate organization in themselves. Maybe KGB or MVD.
I don’t really believe that the gun owning population will actually resist a confiscation. A few individuals might sacrifice themselves in shootouts but only a few. If the Left can tone down their hysteria, the way to do a confiscation is through our very own Social Credit Score system.The Google and FB and Apple have already provided China’s system, have already got much of the programming in place and are implementing it around the edges by making it harder to do anything online without curbing one’s opinions and supporting contrary opinions. We cannot seem to be able to do anything about it, less so that if it were government measures. Anti trust and monopoly law does not seem to apply to Big Tech.

I’m off on another subject, but the logistics of confiscation are monumentally daunting. Tell you what, go and draft an operational order for the confiscation of all citizens’ firearms; chain of command, logistics, personnel, “enemy” meaning us, and concept of operations.
I was scared s***less when Obama was in office and I researched what it would take to seize hundreds of millions of firearms at the Federal level. Conclusion: Impossible.

Any gun bought from a dealer or at a gun show is , in fact, registered and records are accessible to ATF.
