I was involved in racing a boat similar to the Mexican’s so called boat of preference, commonly known as a “Cigarette” boat.

Usually these boats have 2 or 3 550 cu inch engines in them and will gobble gasoline by the tanker truck. So, how you get 6,525lbs of coke, 1 ton of gasoline, 3 crewmen, sufficient water, food and miscellaneous equipment on a cigarette boat and then expect it to “go fast” is beyond me. No wonder they got caught.
