Beck will be the first to surrender if he thinks his ranch will be spared.

Sorry I don't follow your history. A skirmish on the Arkansas border related to the Kansas-Nebraska Act would be very interesting. I suppose you are referring to "Bleeding Kansas" which included the skirmishes along the Missouri border with Kansas and included the Battle of Black Jack which involved John Brown. You were trying to provoke curiosity in your readers, no?

Absolutely agree with you that we were fighting for years before the war "started". Technicalities of words i.e. "war", "started", etc. don't change anything. Absolutely agree with you about Beck's article.

The dims will be in for a rude awakening if they want to start a war citizen to citizen. The Americans are just waiting for an excuse to release hell on Earth against the anarchists. I wonder how those big cities will do without power, food, and their little media friends, when hell on Earth awaits them in the real America.

Yes I was referring to the Bleeding Kansas skirmish in which James Brown was a part of in 1856. In 1856, he led a group of volunteers in the Bleeding Kansas skirmish. Because he was dissatisfied he later stated (paraphrasing) before the Harper’s Ferry raid that blood and force kept slavery out of Kansas, he later led the raid on Harper’s Ferry in 1859.

Because of the Bleeding Kansas and the raid on Harper’s Ferry, covered extensively by the national press at the time, tensions escalated and the Southerners feared further plots to induce a slave revolt. This then led to the states in the South to secede from the Union and eventually the United States first and only Civil War.

A fun fact here is that John Brown had become a martyr after he was hung for the Harper’s Ferry raid. In his Martyrdom a song was written and sung called “John Brown’s Body”. This in turn inspired a variant version still sung to this day called “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”. The most memorable phrase of the Battle Hymn is the phrase “... his truth is marching on...” was rephrased from the John Brown song “...his soul is marching on...”.

Backtracking a little bit to retort to your curiosity about the skirmish on the border called Bleeding Kansas. The Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854 was meant to appease the supporters of the expansion slavery into the West. It is also known as State’s Sovereignty. This act was aimed at current and future territories becoming a state. The people of the state could vote whether they were a “free state”, having no slaves or a “slave state”, owning slaves.

Bleeding Kansas was not just one event it was a series of violent events from 1854 to 1861. The Battle of Jack Black was one incident of Bleeding Kansas that occurred on June 2, 1856. So in a way you are correct that John Brown participated in the Battle of Jack Black but you were also unaware that the Battle of Jack Black was an incident of Bleeding Kansas.

So in a sense yes I was trying to provoke curiosity in my readers but also to make known that Bleeding Kansas was the direct precursor to the Civil War in the United States in that it directly led to the Civil War.

To put things in perspective:

Kansas was acquired as part of the Louisiana Purchase. It was admitted to the Union on January 29, 1861.

It was only a few months later that the Civil War started on April 12, 1861 (- April 9, 1865).

South Carolina, the first state to secede from the Union on December 20, 1860.

President Lincoln was elected President on November 16, 1860 and inaugurated on March 4, 1861. He was only the 16th President for one month before the United States was embroiled into the Civil War.

So what does Bleeding Kansas have to due with today and how people are starting to say a Civil War is coming.

It took approximately 70 years for the first Civil War to occur. This happened at a time when news travelled slow across the nation taking days to weeks. This was sadly evidenced at the end of the Civil War (Look it up!) Bleeding Kansas was a series of violent skirmishes over slavery.

Today, news crosses the nation at 300,000,000 km per second. Some would say even faster. With the advent of how people respond internally to the news on the internet and the fake news being promulgated, decisions are not done anymore. Rather people react than decide (think).

One could further argue that the first Civil War has not finished but only that it has been suppressed and those suppressed feelings have been bubbling out here and there over the years from the end of the Civil War. The problem with this argument is that it relies on fear mongering by race baiters.

The other argument is that the minority is trying to establish a coup against the United States using past transgressions as a catalyst for this coup. However, the elite are the actual perpetrators of this and this isn’t really about race but about class. Race is merely being a tool to create divisiveness amongst the peoples. The top is pressing down to get the bottom classes to provide upward momentum. The elite is using race to manipulate the lower classes after trying various tactics in the past. Remember it was Bill Clinton as President who said to “dumb down” the masses. A dumbed down peoples are far easier to manipulate as we are now seeing.

So the current violent rioting is nothing like the rioting we have seen in the past except maybe the Race Wars in the 40’s and 50’s during the Great Migration of the United States. Where colored peoples migrated North when jobs dried up in the South during the Great Depression. All of the signs of a coming Civil War have been seen before in the United States and some people are starting to pick up on them and send up a red flag. To dismiss this will be a great mistake. There are Freepers on here that telling people this is going on, we didn’t need Beck to show us. There are those of us who have already seen it and pointed and continue to point to it.

Know your past history.

The Boogaloo Bois Prepare for Civil War!

Story by Michael J. Mooney

As the FBI warns of violence, anti-government extremists are ready to get in on the chaos.

Let’s start with what boogaloo isn’t.

It isn’t, mainly, a white-supremacist organization, though there are some white-supremacist boogaloo bois.

It isn’t a collection of Trump supporters ready to fight for the president, like, say, the Proud Boys. Despite the various attacks—planned or carried out—against police officers and government officials, boogaloo also isn’t a militia in any traditional sense of the word. It isn’t even really a movement.

It’s more like an absurdist internet culture propagated by libertarian-leaning gun enthusiasts on 4chan—the anonymous, Wild West version of Reddit—that has somehow moved into the real world. It’s jargon and memes and jokes and a sometimes-serious desire to bring about a violent revolution to overthrow the U.S. government.

Like nearly everything about boogaloo, the ideas and terminology are simultaneously ridiculous and terrifying.

The term boogaloo, for example, can refer to the purveyors of this culture or to an event: a violent revolution some of them hope to hasten, dubbed Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo. The name itself is a takeoff on a pervasive internet joke, an allusion to a 1980s dance movie, Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo. (Take a moment to pity historians, centuries from now, as they try to understand how the name of a dance-movie sequel turned into the name of a proposed nationwide insurrection.)

JJ MacNab has studied anti-government extremist groups for more than 20 years. As a fellow with the Program on Extremism at George Washington University, she’s tracked the boogaloo bois online since last fall, when she saw an uptick in memes calling—in a jokey way—for a civil war.
