Now that the 2020 campaign appears to have gotten back on track (at least for Trump), it got me to thinking about the 2016 election.
Other than June 15, 2015 (the day Trump came down the escalator to announce his run) and November 8/9, 2016 (election day/night), what's your favorite memory?

The 1am rally in Grand Rapids, MI on election day.
Ted Nugent opened up with the Democrat National Anthem. “Baaa-baaa-baaa”
Then on Tuesday night watching the New York Slimes dashboard keep moving toward Trump.
His debate answer when Hillary said she’d hate to live in an America where he was president. His reply of “because you’d be in jail” was perfect. I told my hubby that Trump won the election right there.

I thought that was Turkish for "Think Urgay".
I expected Hilary to win. I was resigned to the demise of our republic. I was interested in seeing if there were pockets of resistance, some victory somewhere, to give me hope.
I had to work all day and settled in to the internet around 8 pm. Around 9 pm there was a sea change. It was electric.
Post after post reported positives, possibilities, surprises, shocks. Hope broke out all over. I thought: “Are we WINNING?”
For a visual, seeing those women who were all gathered with their first woman president regalia, crying because their demonstrably corrupt candidate wasn’t going to be promoting the dismemberment of unborn children for the next four years.
And just that glorious dawning of the realization that it was possible, then probable, then real. I am still somewhat shocked.
I watched almost every rally and said there was no way he was going to loose...Stayed up till 4 am on Election night and went to bed with a smile on my face....

As the Trump party began walking toward the stage at the Hilton, it’s a wide shot, but if you look close you see Kellyanne Conway raise her arms joyfully. I liked that.
Since election night frivolity was specifically excluded, I suggest this:
The Iowa caucus in which the Cruz campaign imploded over the fraud the pulled by circulating the false rumor that Ben Carson had suspended his campaign.
Even though Cruz won the caucus and Trump lost, that was arguably the inflection point of the campaign, and the moment I dumped Cruz for Trump.
