45 MPH ON A VESPA IS SCARY...............
Fastest I’ve I ever went on my Harley on a lonely State highway was 95. When I realized how fast we were going, my girlfriend at the time was on her bike in front of me, I looked in my mirror and sure as heck, there was a county sheriff behind me with his lights flashing. I knew I was going to jail as I didn’t have my endorsement or even a learners permit, so I pulled over and he flew past me. So I thought he was going to pull over my GF, but then she pulled over and he sped off. About 2 more miles up he road was a fatal car accident.
Cops usually won’t bother too much with motorcyclists, unless they are being really stupid.
My wife and I ride our bikes on weekends and typically stay within the speed limits.
This past weekend a guy on a crotch rocket sped by us doing at least a hundred mph if not more in a 55 zone................

Several years ago I was passed by about 5 or 6 idiots on their crotch rockets. We were going uphill on an interstate and as the passed me just as we topped the hill they all decide to pop wheelies doing about 75. Just on the other side of the top was a state trooper. I’m sure he made their day...
We saw one of those types do a wheelie in Pensacola last summer. He didn’t get caught.....................

It’s pretty impressive when you see those guys do it at freeway speeds, but it’s also incredibly stupid...

Had a few rice rockets, nothing like that!
Still have my BMW 650 Airhead, I believe it could do a ton, but have not attempted it in many years.
Stopped riding my beloved bicycle on the street last year and only give the BMW a short warm up in the neighborhood every now and then.

= sleeping) from an evil car while on my bicycle a few years back.
The streets frighten me.

Land Speed Racers are one of a kind.
A friend of our family, Sam Wheeler, was killed a few years ago pursuing a speed record on a stream liner.
These are the kind of people that live right on the edge.
Motorcyle riders in general, are a different breed.
