Here’s the thing, usually soft plaques are created—these don’t show up on X-rays. Later, calcium tends to get powdered over those, making them as inflexible as bone, but not anchored like bone in our bodies, because they are hard films anchored on soft tissues, rather than soft tissues anchored on bone, as our bodies are structured. Chunks of calcium (“rock”) can break off as well as the messy foam cell mixture making up the soft plaque.

Heart attacks and strokes are the results.
