In addition, he did not accomplish that landing alone. Airliners are flown with a crew and the responsibilities are divided. It has always made me wonder that after they crowned him “king of the air”, you never saw his copilot or flight crew again. At the least, the 1st officer had to have played a big role in the landing and the cabin crew in safely evacuating the passengers. I’ve seen the 1st officer once, on a reality show, might have been Mythbusters, and he was running a flight small school/air service in the Southwest.

Yes, he couldn’t have done it without good CRM. He then turned into a glory hound. I noticed and thought it quite disrespectful to not mention his crew members. Character fail.
