I’ve now read literally 1000 of his texts. The thing that’s obvious to me is that he is a life-time bureaucratic climber and DC swamp rat. He spends all his time discussing who said what, who met with whom, what some boss said, what the Washington Post said, who participated in meetings and who didn’t. He’s like a high school cheerleader gossiping in the lunch room.
With his focus entirely on the FBI and DC bureaucratic-power hierarchy, I can’t believe he spend any time “hunting spies."
Maybe “hunting” really means “collaborating with”.
Wonder how Lisa would feel if a pretty female Chinese spy from Peter’s past shows up . . .
