Liar. You like slave labor. I’ll use two cans and a string before I buy a rotten Apple.

So, which other phone do you use that’s made in China?

I chucked my iphone several years ago, though it’s all made in China crap anyway. Jobs’ widow is the new owner of Atlantic Mag; which is running the hit pieces on President Trump; so now there’s plenty more reasons to NOT enrich that empire.

China has some of the most modern and sophisticated manufacturing facilities in the world. Highly automated too. Cheap labor isn’t that big of a factor.
In America a high percentage of our facilities are old and inefficient. Add high energy costs, taxes, and regulations and makes us non-competitive.

It’s much more than the slave and child labor. In China, Apple doesn’t have to comply with US environmental laws and regulations . . . manufacturers can discharge waste directly into the air and the waters. In China, US wage and hour regulations don’t apply. In China, even as assembly employees are killed or commit suicide at work, Apple isn’t liable. Insurance, sex discrimination, racial inequalities . . . none is of concern in China, as they would surely be if Apple manufactured in the US. But Apple needs to avoid all the costs associated with its political advocacy.

You do realize that Apple’s assembly lines in those Chinese factories are among the highest-paid workers in the country - highly-desirable (despite the over-blown suicides from the quality and work requirements). Apple has its own set of standards, not just for the workers salary, but working conditions as well. FAR from “slave labor”.
