The Ten Commandments of Electrical safety - similar to the utility industry.

And quite humorous.

Years ago, I had a co-worker in the meter tech department get across some 480 volt 3-phase while re-installing a meter at a large commercial customer. Burns were pretty severe from the flash. A second of carelessness is all it takes. He was humbled, but alive to tell the story.

I’ve been playing with high voltages and RF currents since high school and but for a few minor exceptions, safety has been maintained by applying the Hind Pocket Rule:

Keeping one hand in it when doing anything with power applied.

And a chicken stick for after power has been removed.
