Make Mars a penal colony, like the Brits did Australia. The really hard cases they sent to Tasmania.

That’s a good idea. First spaceships to Mars should be manned by prisoners. They have nothing to lose so they’ll sign up for the adventure.

I was aware of Australia’s history but I didn’t know about Tasmania. Guess that’s why we have the Tasmanian Devil...
