I assume, in order for organs to be donated, they have to undergo an extensive tox panel?
My brother unexpectedly passed away last year, I was with my parents while they said goodbye to him shortly after he died. After about an hour the hospital brought papers to sign for organ donation. I was surprised that it was still possible as I thought they had to be harvested immediately upon death. My parents got a list of all that was donated, it was surprisingly comforting for them to know.
