The Black Law Students Association at the University of San Diego School of Law is calling for campus administrators to train and post diversity officers in classrooms to observe and report bias and other “disparaging” actions against students of color.
According to an open letter from the USD Black Law Students Association, these diversity officers would be charged with watching classrooms and reporting incidents or conduct they consider questionable or discriminatory.

I don't imagine there is much if anything to be reported to start with. Soon everyone, including the monitors, will realize how useless they really are. The monitors will see/find issues wholly imagined. Because if you look hard enough for something like this you'll find it, real or not. The administration, not wanting to admit a mistake nor appear unsupporttive (those kinds of places are getting looted and burned just now thanks to peaceful protesters) will go along with anything the monitors report, regardless of how absurd it is.
With “college” for most, many more intellectually limited profs than ever: dumb communists to go along with “misguided” communists.
When the students cannot cite the relevant legal code and precedent, the Officers are there to protect them from head shaking, face-palming and exclamations of “For cryin’ out loud, dude. Didn’t you read the effing case?”
They’re freaks.
I hope the school officials don’t give in to this.
Diversity monitors is the wrong name. In actuallity they are political commissars.
I hadn't kept up with the "wokeness" at USD but I've seen how San Diego has been poisoned by radical Democrats and also watched how "wokeness" spread at my Alma Mater, arguably a more conservative Catholic university.
EXPEL all the snot nosed children that signed on to this, College is for Adults, if you didn’t live with your mommy still, you would understand.
We all know how the left can spin anything to be a race issue. So someone charged with monitoring diversity issues would assume many things are within his/her purview. They would really be in charge of ensuring compliance with the left's entire agenda. You are exactly right.

What really sucks is when it’s done as a conspiracy.
There’s an HBCU in FL whose “management” really screwed the school by contracting to build unneeded dorms. The builder and school president and/or certain trustees are going to be the only ones to benefit.

This will not be enough to end racism or ‘questionable conduct’ of course. There will also need to be secret diversity officers in plain clothes. They will have to be from a completely separate diversity office so the uniformed personnel won’t know or recognize them. Their job will be primarily to watch the watchers.

I can’t get over how freaky this is. Don’t these students have any homework that they have time to dream up this stuff? The students make it seem like they are constantly being demeaned. A diversity officer sounds like a useless job where someone gets paid for sitting and watching (and hoping) for anything questionable to happen in order to justify their existence. But nothing will be observed. These diversity officers will simply serve to make everyone nervous that they will be reported for some imaginary offense. We’re talking communism, folks.
