Patchogue, once an oyster farming business town, is a nice little place, or was in the ‘80’s, complete with the Saturday night ‘audience participation’ movies.(”Toast!”, and the toasted bread flies about).
To: Olog-hai
Patchogue NY is heavy duty Trump country and they have a sense of humor.

How they tolerate the Long Island Expressway and the Northern and Southern State Parkways every day is beyond me. Never mind the Long Island Rail Road (no compound words there), which has been cut back severely due to the draconian lockdowns.

To keep money flowing there should be sucker bets: "how many unarmed black men are killed by police in Chicago and New York" in a week...(fewer than 12 unarmed black men were killed by police in 2019 IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY.)
Sucker bets puff up profits...
An extra option> How many black children under the age of 5 shot and how many killed in Chicago, New York, and both cities combined...

The killings per year follow a similar curve to the employment numbers. As employment increases, violent crime decreases and vice-versa.

Oh yeah; I get that reference, unfortunately.
(Meat Loaf played both Eddie and Dr. Von Scott on stage, I found out a while ago.)

Yeah, yeah. Watch who’s squawking the loudest and you’ll know who has the low numbers.
To: Olog-hai
Right, the lawlessness in Democrat-run cities isn’t the problem. People calling attention to it is.
To: Olog-hai
Its hard to bet against the Chicago Thugs.

Chicago should have a near record low number of homicides due to the lock down. Fewer bar fights that escalate to gun fire, etc.

I simply could not extract the “W” from it. This one is one of my classic “syntax” error moments.

I’m also IT, but I have MAD people skills. Many employers have expressed gratitude for my ‘soft skills’.
It doesn’t hurt that as a former New Yorker, I know the accent well. :)

I predict that the State Liquor Authority will pull the license by the end of the day for illegal gambling or a Covid violation.
