Question: Can the GOP flip 20 house seats in the 2020 election?

Just wondering out loud. Do you think that President Trump will have enough "coat tails" to help the GOP flip 20 house seats?

If he can, then a lot of this impeachment BS goes away, at least for a couple of years.

The problem is the years long decay of the various state Republican Party. For example, in NYS where the party is dead we have 2-3 seats that flipped and could be flipped back but we have no party to organize this.

I read in a blurb somewhere in the last few days that Ma Pelosi is concerned the dems will lose 30 House seats. I don’t know if it’s legit, but it rings true to me.

The Rats that replaced ran on a promise of being serious House members. They weren’t ! They’ll have to explain their marching in lockstep with Pelosi doing impeachment & other nonsense. I hope the GOP challengers make that an issue in their respective campaigns.

You’re right about the reason we lost the House. It was an unbelievably evil thing for most of those representatives who quit, to do. They knew it would greatly increase the chances that the democrats would take the House, but they were saving their own hide. People like Jason Chaffetz and Trey Gowdy are young men. Another reason some of them left, was probably for personal threats against them and their families. The dirty politics in this country have tremendous power, and they’ll do whatever they have to, to keep it. There is great evil there, far beyond what we can see on the surface. And it doesn’t seem to matter who’s in power. When we had both Houses, our own republican leadership were vipers. They did NOTHING for us; didn’t even TRY. Pray without ceasing.

Probably not. The GOP may pick up some seats but I don’t see them taking control. Conversely they may hold onto the Senate by the skin of their teeth.

“Yes, until the mail in votes are counted weeks after the election.”

Why must it be a “given” that mail-in votes will benefit the Democrats?

The only reason the House flipped was because 40 Republican Representatives (on whom Obama probably had a lot of dirt), announced their retirements during the campaign season.

And 27 are retiring this time.

Because Republicans would actually be prosecuted for election fraud. Dems have the cover of AGs and judges.

Hopefully Biden will have coat tails, too.

So what happens if governors in blue states close the polls at the end of October because of The Plague?

Gotta pray like crazy to get all branches.

Have we forgotten we had all three branches when Trump took office and managed to do near nothing of consequence because of Ryan and Mitch.

Yes, in a landslide I think we can easily pick up 20 seats.

Because last election they won 8 of 8 extended count contests. We got Sinema after McSally won on election night...
