The Antifa provocations are below the level of the desired responses. It’s easy to seem with the moms in yellow shirts but I see it in the urine filled water bottles and even lasers, they are hoping for a Kent State response where one law enforcement officer loses it and kills multiple people galvanizing their movement
I’ll say this again about Kent State - Nixon was reelected in a landslide 2 years later. And IIRC, rioting settled down a good amount afterwards.
I was in 5th grade when it happened, and I sat at the dinner table between my college freshman brother and my WW2 vet dad. Interesting conversations took place, and you can guess which side each of them took.
