Very curious, this situation.

My only civilian encounter with Air Force One, was on the tarmac at O'Hare. All traffic stopped, even taxiing aircraft, while AF1 was moving. We didn't move from the taxiway until all-clear.

Either this was a big-mistake or...?

we were in austin airport when Pres. Bush flew in.
Everything everywhere in the airport was frozen\shutdown.

It was my understanding that they even restricted driving into and out of the airport arrivals and departures for awhile.
