Agreed. This is not sane, normal behavior for a fortysomething married woman. You’d have to have some screws loose somewhere.
And the fact that her husband is sticking by her tells us that this is more than just bad behavior. Husbands/wives of bipolar people are sometimes long suffering because they know another side of their mate and realize that they are dealing with an illness.
