WASHINGTON The US Attorneys office for the District has charged Brennen Sermon, 27 of Orlando Florida with assault for an attack on a DC police officer following the end of the Republican National Convention.
The Metropolitan Police officer was helping to escort Kentucky Senator Rand Paul from the White House when Paul was confronted by what he called an angry mob.
The U.S. Attorneys office says it was around 12:30am on August 28th that the officer was at 14th and F street NW when Sermon kicked his bicycle and then tried to get away.
The officer, whose name has not been made public then caught up with Sermon, who then punched the officer in the face. The officer was taken to the hospital where he received stitches above his left eye.
If convicted, Sermon faces a maximum sentence of 180 days in prison and a $1,000.00. He was arraigned and has since been released on his personal recognizance.
A comparison of deaths from COVID-19 compared to deaths from other causes has been woefully lacking ever since this pandemic started. Our news media and the Dems do not want this put into perspective of any type.
